The HDR5050FN is a pressed narrow steel hook designed for 50mm webbing. It is a narrow version of the HDR5050F. The length of the hook is 78mm and the curvature of the hook will allow it to fit on to a 16mm bar. The hook is used extensively in the manufacture of cargo securing equipment and is used by GTF in the manufacture of its cargo restraint straps. The hook is made from AISI 4130 alloy steel which gives it extra strength and durability. The 41xx group of steels are noted for their excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It has a breaking strength (BS) of 5000kg.
The hook meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001 which requires the hook to have a lashing capacity (LC) of 25kN. This capacity is stamped on the hook together with the part number HDR5050FN together with the suppliers name GTF for full traceability.
