The RB2509-OD is an olive drab epoxy-coated lightweight ratchet buckle designed for use with 25mm webbing. It has a breaking strength of 900kg and features a non-locking ratchet mechanism with a pressed steel handle. The base of the ratchet includes a 6.8mm hole and a solid riveted pin instead of a nut and bolt, ensuring a secure and durable design.
The base and handle are epoxy-coated for added protection, while all moving parts, including the spreader bars, locking latch in the base, latch in the handle, and springs, are zinc coated to enhance corrosion resistance.
This ratchet buckle meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001, which specifies a lashing capacity of 450daN. This capacity is stamped on the ratchet, along with the supplier’s name, GTF®, and the part number RB2509-OD for full traceability. The breaking strength of 900kg is also marked, indicating the maximum load the buckle can withstand before failure.
