The RB5050LH-ERG-5 is a long wide-handled ergonomic ratchet buckle with a locking mechanism, designed for use with 50mm webbing. It features a higher Standard Tension Force (STF) of 500daN, making it more effective for high-tension applications.
Unlike standard ratchet buckles, an ergonomic ratchet is tensioned by pulling the handle downward rather than pushing upward. This design, combined with an extended handle, requires less force to apply tension, reducing strain on the user’s back.
With a breaking strength of 5000kg, the RB5050LH-ERG-5 is a heavy-duty ratchet buckle widely used in lorry straps for road transport and other demanding load restraint applications.
The RB5050LH-ERG-5 meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001, which specifies a lashing capacity of 25kN (2500kg). This capacity is stamped on the ratchet, along with the supplier’s name, GTF®, and the part number RB5050LH-ERG-5 for full traceability. The breaking strength of 5000kg is also marked, indicating the maximum load the buckle can withstand before failure.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the RB5050LH-ERG-5 is designed for use with 50mm webbing. It has a lashing capacity of 25kN and weighs 1440 grams (1.440kg).
