Whether you call them Delta Rings, Triangular Links, Chokers or whatever, the purpose of a Delta is join a strap to a single mounting point. That point could be a hook attached to truck bodywork or the end link of a chain. The strength is in that connecting point where tension is taken back down the sides of the delta link in as straight a line as possible to the bar attached to the strap. Delta rings range from simple flat plate punch outs for smaller webbing to tougher wrought versions used at higher weights or with wider webbing they can be disassembled having removable bars. With a removable bar this is re-bolted back after the webbing has been attached thus reforming the delta link. These deltas are mainly used for heavy duty operations or where a Delta Ring has to be permanently floor or wall mounted.
