The WH5050SNAP-11 is a wire claw hook designed for 50mm webbing. The hook is designed with a spring loaded safety catch that once engaged will not come detached; this offers a better level of security than standard hooks. The length of the hook is 104mm and the diameter of the hook will allow it to fit on to a 15mm diameter bar. The wire hook is used extensively in the manufacture of cargo securing equipment and is manufactured by GTF® in its wholly owned factory in Noida, India (www.gtcfi.com). The hook is made from boron alloy steel which gives it extra strength and durability. It has a breaking strength (BS) of 5000Kg.
The wire hook meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001 which requires the hook to have a lashing capacity (LC) of 25kN. This capacity is stamped on the hook together with the part number WH5050SNAP-11 and batch number therefore offering full traceability.
GTF have a range of 5000kg wire hooks with safety catches, the WH5050SNAP-12 which fits onto a 26mm bar and the WH5050SNAP-15 that fits on to a 32mm bar.
